Anima Christi

Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Water from the side of Christ, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. O good Jesus, hear me. Within Thy wounds, hide me. Suffer me not to be separated from Thee. From the malicious enemy, defend me. In the hour of my death call me and bid me come unto Thee, that I may praise Thee with Thy saints and with Thy angels forever and ever. Amen.

Ack!

Who is this guy, Gandalf's half-brother? No, he's a rather rare species of Catholic priest in America, the bearded ones. He heads St. Vincent de Paul parish in Hanover, PA. He was at a monastery I visit from time to time giving some talks on "How to Live the Evangelical Councils in the Modern World". His talks were full of great depth, it was apparent that he was extremely well read. I found this article online (on "healthy loving") written by his alma mater's newspaper http://www.collegian.psu.edu/archive/1991/02/02-08-91tdc/02-08-91dnews-07.asp This post is mostly for the shock of seeing what this guy looks like, as I didn't expect it when I walked in the room.
