Anima Christi

Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Water from the side of Christ, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. O good Jesus, hear me. Within Thy wounds, hide me. Suffer me not to be separated from Thee. From the malicious enemy, defend me. In the hour of my death call me and bid me come unto Thee, that I may praise Thee with Thy saints and with Thy angels forever and ever. Amen.

Father Al Swimming to Rome

Fr. Al Kimel, former Episcopal priest, announced today that he will enter into communion with the Catholic Church in the near future. I know John knows of his blog (http://pontifications.classicalanglican.net/), which I felt was one of the most thought provoking Christian blogs around. Fight the good fight Father.

I don't think the above would come across as triumphalistic, but the following quote from Secret Agent Man's blog (also a very good blog)frames his conversion in a very balanced light.

"I've said before that Catholics spend far more time and energy explaining what Protestants lost in the Reformation than we do about what Roman Catholicism lost. Al Kimel's blog -- Al Kimel's writing, perspectives, and thoughts -- is/was a perfect example of that loss. I'm very happy to see one gem returned to the treasury; I hope the Church will be properly grateful for it."

Yeah, I'd already seen S.A.M.'s comments on the situation.

I have none (comments, that is); Fr. Kimel's actualization of all of his blog-talk comes as absolutely no surprise. The only thing astonishing about the situation is that it didn't happen a year ago.
