Anima Christi

Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Water from the side of Christ, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. O good Jesus, hear me. Within Thy wounds, hide me. Suffer me not to be separated from Thee. From the malicious enemy, defend me. In the hour of my death call me and bid me come unto Thee, that I may praise Thee with Thy saints and with Thy angels forever and ever. Amen.

Ugly Churches

I wrote a little ditty on ugly churches a while back after I noted some of the same on Matt's blog. I came across this article and thought it would be a good read for any of you interested in architecture and its importance in reflecting theological realities.

As an aside, I changed the link below so you can hear that Byzantine Chant. Several paragraphs down on the St. Anthony's Monastery website you'll see "Click to here a sample of this music chanted ..." So click on it.
